Return Sojourn to The Land of Frosted Corn Flakes

So where exactly is The Land of Frosted Cornflakes (LOFCF) and why would one wish to travel there? To answer the first part of the question, it's a name I came up with after eating Corn Flakes encrusted with sugar, whilst staying at a summer camp in the USA called Miniwanca. In Australia Corn Flakes are not frosted. Enough said. As to the second part, I’m sure, as you read on you’ll come to your own conclusions. If at least 70% of my blogs are unfunny your money will be refunded. Cheers, Tim

A thank you party of sorts

Sometimes the things you least expect in life can be the most rewarding at least it was the case for the suprise thank you party that was held in my honor. I didn't even see it coming basically my supervisor Tim wanted to have a chat about the potential moving of the bikeshop next year into a different building so we talked on the porch for a bit then he suggested we should go down to the bike shop to look at the practicalities. so off to the bike shop we went. Upon opening the sliding door I heard this loud "SURPISE!!!". I jumped back six feet (more metaphorically than physically).

I didn't se it coming at all. It was really nice because I never expected it. I'm not really great with parties thrown in my honor but had to grit the teeth and bear the acknowkenments and thankyou's. I read somewhere that when recieving praise that acknownege it with a simple thanyou and I like that idea rather than saying that you are not worthy or going on and on. I recieved a cereal bowl in recognition of the large quanties of cereal I consumed over the summer and was a bit of a runnining joke of sorts Where's blue? He's either in the bike shop or eating cereal in the dining hall. Which was a very approite gift that has already payed for it's self many times over.It was beautifully painted by Lauren with the inscription of "Blue's Bowl" on the outside and "cereal goes here" on the inside.

In addition there was a plethora of Cadbury chocalate on hand (although it was the Hershy's brand which doesn't quite taste the same as the dinky di stuff.). and blue streamers everywhere. It was one of those things that I won't forget.
