Diana's Baths
Figure 1.0 Pool reflections
A short car trip from North Conway are a variety of scenic forrested areas. The one that is the subject of the perticular blog is Diana's Baths. Although I'm not sure where the how Diana's baths recieved it's name this in no way reduces it's beauty.
I'm at the most peace with myself when I'm in the middle of wilderness so it was just a great day off being totally surrounded by it. Diana's baths is fairly popular but the weather wasn't the best so kept only the most adventurous of poeple to take the 2km long walking to get there.
the best way to describe (in my opinon of course) is that of a series of waterfall with plateaus before the next waterall with sections of cascades thrown in. many of the flat sections have pools just he right size
There are remains of a damming scheme with disused piping, gates and detorerating concrete dam walls. in some ways it takes away from the envinronment but in another way showes how nature reclaimes things once they are diused by mankind which I kind of like the idea of.
If you ever find yourself up New Hampshire way this is definiatly a place you should give a look see.
