Cribbage

Seems most people at Merrowvista know what I'm talking about when I mention the word cribbage noted by the highly postive/ excited responce, such you feel that they would be up for a game if the oppertunity presented itself either that or they think that your up for a game because you mentionned the word in the first place. How it got the name Cribbage is beyond me. Intereesting question thought.

The game is assisted/made more exciting by having a board to keep score of your accumilative total. The board looks much like a athletics track/horse/grey hound/daytona racing track with four seperate lanes each corrosponding to a player. The player peices look nothing like either a athelete/horse/grey hound/daytona car. Would be kind of cool if they made a Star Wars(TM) Themed cribbage board.

Like most card games it's a game of counting. The player pieces that given the style of the board would most aptlely be discribed as Atheletes or horse.

*Side note* For anyone actually paying perticular attenion to the series of pictures. I'm the blue horse/athelete/player peice.

The rules are some thing alone these lines ( anyone who knows more aboiut the game (I'm sure there are alot of you out there) feel free to post any errors. The aim is to get a combination of cards that add up to 15 and 32. doing so gives you points. you also get points for having three or more cards in sequence or for two card of different suite but same number or face card. At the end of each round you add up the points and then move around on what appears to be a horse racing course maxium of 4 players (unless they make a bigger race course) the person who uis the dealer changes each round. The dealer get to take the pot at the end of the round (the bunch of cards people discarded spot.

As the game progressed the fortunes of each player changed though my change was probably for the worse if the object of the game was winning thoug if the

Cribbage takes a long time to play the game was almost over two hours but I don't play many card games so maybe in relavtive terms this is a sort card game. All in all an enjoyable game.
