Return Sojourn to The Land of Frosted Corn Flakes

So where exactly is The Land of Frosted Cornflakes (LOFCF) and why would one wish to travel there? To answer the first part of the question, it's a name I came up with after eating Corn Flakes encrusted with sugar, whilst staying at a summer camp in the USA called Miniwanca. In Australia Corn Flakes are not frosted. Enough said. As to the second part, I’m sure, as you read on you’ll come to your own conclusions. If at least 70% of my blogs are unfunny your money will be refunded. Cheers, Tim

You know your in the LOFCF when....... You see a Hummer

Otherwise known as a Hum-Vee, a frigging fridge or that thing that is taking up all of the road, including the oncoming lane (and yes I’m referring to a duel lane highway here). Before arriving the LOFCF's The only fridge I ever witnessed was that of Mark Philippoussis (other wise known as “The Scud”, though given recent form on the international tennis circuit “The Dud” would be more appropriate) it was red and it took up the entire road. Money most certainly doesn't buy style in his case.

The fridge is a vehicle suitable for all terrains including those laced with IEDs and various other forms of road side explosives. If it's fit for a war zone then it fit for the average LOFCFian. Gas guzzling with a fuel average that would make even an anti green peace activist have a heart attack. It comes in Red, Yellow, White, Green and black though I've yet to see one with full battle camo or desert brown variety. It comes in two models the H1 and H2 variety. The H2 variety includes a more aesthetic body kit and smoother lines for making a ever so smaller divot in the fuel economy for those more environmentally consious fridge drivers. Yes, yes there is a H3 variant but this really isn’t a fridge. It’s four parts Ute, three parts Jeep and the remained an unknown quality, which for the mean times we’ll call the“ X-Factor”. I don’t know if it would pass a tour of duty under battle conditions a core requirement of any fridge. Dr. Evil put it best “Your like the diet coke of evil. Only 3000 calories, not evil enough”.

The cost of upgrading armour can be reduced or offset by foraging through dumps and metal scrap salvage joints that dot the landscape of Michigan in particular Detroit. The added bonus would be getting to test the capabilities of the armour you just installed, at no extra charge. In California the fridges are a dime a dozen one could indeed making a drinking game by sitting next to a major freeway and do some fridge spotting.
